A recent article by Global Finance Magazine points to cyber-risk as “Public Enemy Number One.” Here at The TEK, we tend to avoid sensationalist narratives about doomsday scenarios, but we do agree with the basic premise of this article: Cyber-risk is real, it’s here to stay, and it’s worthy of your company’s attention.
Unfortunately, too many companies do not treat cyber-risk with the urgency it needs, only reacting after there has been a damaging (but often preventable) event. A proactive strategy to ward off cyber attacks will go along way in keeping this so-called Public Enemy Number One at bay for your organization.
